  • Paul Kalkbrenner – 5th of May @ Ambasada Gavioli. This is totally whacky, we’ll be hearing both brothers in less than two week’s time.

  • Playboy – White invasion – 30th of March, I’d point out Arty. I’m not particulary fond of the place it will be held at, especially because it is know for its massive echo. I hope they at least try to fix it.

  • Dance Music Fest – 15th of June (no lineup has been determined). It will be held at the same venue as the above. Seems we’re in serious need of a propper venue.

  • Dance republic – 22nd of June, only substantial open air in Slovenia,  for now only Hardwell is known to appear. They have amazed with early (4+ months) presale of the tickets (not custom for electronic events here).
  • *New Event* Red Summer Party – 24th of June, known Lineup: Tiësto & Calvin Harris.
We are up for some serious s**t in the first half of 2012!

I’m sorry but this week has been too busy for me to even think about writing the Wanna Dance & MusNews posts. I’ve been actively involved in Slovenian Music Week which started on Wednesday the 21st and will be ending on Sunday the 25th. This is the first event ever of this kind here in Slovenia. The workshops, conferences and panel discussions have been pretty interesting and everything has been running smoothly so far. Themes covered this year are Journalism, PR, Support Organizations & Visual Image. Although I’d be more delighted if at least one of the themes was more electronically defined I’m perfectly OK with the pioneer setting.  Maybe in the next few years there will be a spin off or a dedicated section for EDM. I’d surely would like to be a part of that too.
